I am truly confused with everyone's environmental concerns about “ bottled water” that I keep hearing about.
Water in a bottle — sure sounds dangerous to me, OOhhh.
First, let's get it straight. Don't think in such complex process when speaking about our environmental problems, Think Simple.
Think about this point: re-direction — That's what these major corporations want. If they actually did not want articles about all the waste from bottling water, they would have paid off enough people in the media to halt those articles, Again, Re-direction.
It's funny that such distraction still works; it's one of the first things we learned as a child as a matter of survival — it's primal instinct.
The bottled water is just another market that they tapped into and why not? They don't have to work near as hard if they were manufacturing soda, this is just bottled right out of the tap and bingo! — done. No processing necessary. Can you imagine how much profit they make. Certainly, a much higher profit on the water than the soda. You see, the thing that they don't like about the bottled water is that they don't sell nearly as much water as they sell soda. Most likely reason is that they can't add a special “magic ingredient,” something that has a nice addictive property to it, so you buy more.
They're working on it though, adding vitamins to water for your health. Assumption being that consumers who drink water maintain a healthy diet. Adding a prophylactic “Health Kick” into their product and get you hooked. Take my word , Americans will be drinking Headache Reliever Water if these companies can have their way.
Certain sodas contain Sorbitol, which sounds like a natural ingredient, but it is the name they use for an artificial sweetener. One which has been found to increase your appetite and hence theirs.
What do you think the first ingredient in soda is? What do you think a soda can is full of? Water ... and sugar. How many people do you know that are “addicted to their soda?” They still need their Dr. Pepper fix or Mountain Dew high and they will complain about the water bottling plants rather than look at the real culprit. Drinking it along with the American Diet today, you are creating the obesity that exists along with diabetes and other glucose related health issues.
So my question is “Why are there no articles written in newspapers for the condemning of “soda bottling?”
I don't know about you, but I would drink a bottle of water over a bottle of soda any day.
I remember when they first started bottling water, eons ago. I was so happy that now I didn't have to drink soda anymore. I don't like soda very much and whenever I went somewhere and became parched, I always had to buy a soda, because that was all there was.
Once again, let's close the soda bottling companies that are the cause of all this waste, because if you are truly concerned about the environment, send your support by giving up your soda for our precious waters here in the United States.
