The National Repertory Orchestra presents its annual “Music of Hollywood” concert tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Breckenridge Riverwalk Center. This crowd-pleasing concert has become an annual tradition in Breckenridge.
At the concert, listeners can expect to hear music from both old and new films. The first piece is the Introduction from “Also Sprach Zarathustra,” by Richard Strauss, which is the title theme from “2001: A Space Odyssey,” followed by John Williams' “March from 1941.” The next piece is “The Ride of the Valkyries,” which was featured in the 1979 film, “Apocalypse Now.”
Other pieces on the program include “Themes from 007” and the theme from the 1972 film, “The Godfather.” Finally, enjoy classics such as “The Sorcerer's Apprentice” and “The Man From Snowy River” by Bruce Rowland.
