Mark Beling and Judith Pollock host their annual Fourth of July Mountain Art Festival, this one staged at Breckenridge's Main Street Station, Friday through Sunday.

Here are some artists from the field of 100+: Dick Cunningham, Pam Spika-Nicholson, Mary Staby, Judy Hoch, Rodgers Naylor, Beth Erlund, Lila Hahn, Amado Peña, Jerry Scavezze, Don McCoy, Anne Reichel, Harold Mugford, Wendy Newman, Cathy Krieger, Chris Nelson, Bear McLaughlin, John Gibson, Tim Lockwood, Bill Ooms, Harry Bowden, Heidi Rosner, Preston Steed, and Guilloume.

Highlighting (among many) the Saturday noon-ish Frisco Fourth Parade down Old Main Street will be those "Rocky Mountain Queens," featuring these gowned lovelies:

Melissa Harvey and girls Hannah and Haley, Marla Starekow, Sandy Sheffield, Alicia Dunn, Dee Ells, Linda Fletcher, Yvonne Lomas, Marguerite Ritchey, Judy Dombrowski, Lisa Schwab, Janet Graham, and

Queen Kathy Lunceford says:

“We would like to invite all past, present and future queens to join us in support of Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer research. If anyone joining us would like to bring a donation check made out to “Susan G. Komen.”

Longtime Friscoite Amy Lange was one of those “pinked-to-the-max” Avon Breast Cancer Walk volunteers raising money for research.

Joining Amy at her aid station at Frisco's Second Avenue and the Rec Path were Arla, Sue, Trish, and Betty from Kalispell, Mont., Hillary from Billings, and Jen, who is from Hobbs, N.M.

Winning the second annual Timberline Cruiser Regatta, headquartered out of the Frisco Bay Marina and sponsored by Fat Tire, was Capt. Mark “Smitty” Schmid's team.

Teaming up with the bearded wonder were Jim Berg, Ken Gabriel and Joe Zirillo, sailing to a “good, clean margin-win” aboard a borrowed vintage Ensign 21.

Condolences to the Dave and Jackie Stoffel Family of Breckenridge on the passing of Dad Robert “Smokey” Stoffel of Evergreen.

Smokey, 87, played a role in the development of Lockheed Martin's Mars Viking Lander.

He was a member of the US Senior Ski Team.
