All missing property recovered

SUMMIT COUNTY — Three 15-year-old boys were charged this week after admitting to multiple burglaries of Dillon Valley Elementary School within the past month, according to Summit County Sheriff's Office.

Two of the boys, whose names are withheld because they're juveniles, also admitted to breaking into Silverthorne Elementary School on or about July 8, according to an SCSO press release.

“Their parents found some of the items and turned them in,” said SCSO spokeswoman Paulette Horr.

The boys have been released into their parents' custody.

“All items stolen from the schools, including laptop computers with accessories and cameras, have been recovered,” according to the press release.

Horr said there's not any suspected connection with recent vandalism of windows in the Summit Daily News offices or motor vehicle break-ins.

According to a previous report, a school employee responding to a technical support request in late June found damage to the Dillon Valley server as well as unplugged cables. Another employee reported the laptops missing. Sheriff's deputies later found four unlocked windows.
