Chris “Craft” Smith, Richard Ball of Loveland, and Wayne “Boatyard” Spaulding of Frisco at the wooden boat show in Frisco.
A big deal guy was here for the Antique and Classic Boat Society Rocky Mountain Classics Chapter wooden boat show at Frisco Bay Marina.
Chris Smith, grandson of the founder of the Chris Craft Boat Co., was here from Michigan. At 82, he showed a couple one-off designs, which he has perfected over the decades.
His daughter and son-in-law, Chris Ann and Bob Braaf, live in Tabernash.

Out on the recpath the other day were Kim Garrity-Slaughter of Frisco and Fort Collins and her sister, Karen DiRaffael of North Andover, Mass., and Jacksonville, Fla. They were with good friend Lynn Kobelt of Rye, N.Y.
Lynn is a longtime Summit person, who lived here in the ‘70s and early ‘80s, and has been on and off since. She is “transitioning” and will likely end up in Breckenridge.
“Right now, she is staying at our Frisco place while we are away for a few days,” says Ray Slaughter.
