The Comcast Foundation recently donated $1,100 to Silverthorne Elementary School to be used to support the school's International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
Last week's donation came after an April event in which more than 50 volunteers from Comcast helped with landscaping, painting, building shelves and more at the school.
School principal Dianna Hulbert said in an e-mail the donation will help build the library of materials supporting PYP units involving nonfiction reading. All students are to have access to the curriculum.
