Shirley Spangler: Senior supports new Park County schools

As a senior member of our community, I appeal to all seniors and all members of the Fairplay area to support 3A. Yes, the recession has affected our incomes, but this is a critical time for our community. The opportunity provided for us for matching funds should not be ignored. I have been a professional educator most of my life. I have seen how a quality education has affected many lives and has led to a richer, fuller life for them and, particularly, to others in their environment. A strong, excellent, educational foundation provides benefits to all of us in this community. South Park High School has been recognized as being one of the top 10 high schools in the state demonstrating that the teachers have worked hard. The students have done their part by working diligently to reach that mark. Now let us give them our full support. We can provide them with greater resources. New facilities will help broaden their opportunities for richer and better educational experiences. The results will better our lives and promote the future of our community. I encourage you to vote YES on Issue 3A.
