Dear Friends and Colleagues,
First of all, I want to thank you all for entrusting me with the opportunity to serve you, and our community in this way. Your vote of confidence in my ability, comes at a time when life has not been easy for any of us.
For myself, after a year of nursing my mother through cancer, on September 19th, surrounded by my children and myself, she passed away. Since then, I have moved my father in with me, as he is so lost without his partner of 57 years! I have been reminded daily of how infinitely valuable life is, and what a blessing it is to serve those we love and those around us.
We just happen to be in a work force that does exactly that, serves others. If we listen intently, we are able to match homes to the desires of Buyers. Never forget how important you are in that capacity.
Moving on to a report for Silverthorne and Dillon: In the past 30 days, (Oct 1-30) there have been 34 closings in Silverthorne and Dillon. The break down of price ranges is 0-200K 6 residences sold, 200K-400K 18, ( which reflects the "first time buyer season"), 400k-600K 2, 600K- 800K 6, and there were 4 homes sold in the 1-2 million range.
Looking back in 2008 for Oct 1-30, there were 41 solds in Silverthorne/DIllon, In 2007 there were 78 solds in Silverthorne/Dillon, and in 2006 there were 71.
We are still at half mass, but keep up the faith. With the Tax benefits continuing, we should see a rise in sales as the next year comes our way. Be reminded that things always work out. Just keep working, and know that we have never felt the kind of hardship our parents felt when they were children. Mainly, through it all, remember to enjoy the simple pleasures!!! Take coffee to a friend or volunteer the extra time you have. It will benefit you in ways that cannot be measured!!!
