Where'd the name come from? There is this little button on Mark's keyboard. We call it the RED BUTTON, but when played, it produces what can best be described as a sound of uncertain frequency. (Something along the lines of what you hear on the F.Z. track “A Small Eternity With Yoko Ono.”) However, we try to keep Mark's attention occupied enough so he doesn't push the red button.
Home base: The far reaches of Summit County
Type of music: Pure funk. Well, almost pure. Maybe a little crossbreeding, just for character.
Why do people love ya? We are always adding material to the repertoire and trying to surprise our audiences with our song choices. Over the last several weeks we've added some of the most funky tunes we could dig up from the past several decades, including music from some of the more recent artists. Oh, and we have a couple of originals on the list too.
How do you keep it fresh? The fact that we are playing these cool and rather challenging tunes together, having fun, and playing the music well is what we are all after. Plus we have a killer light show! Just kidding. We've had a lot of fun at The Motherloaded Tavern the last few times we've played and just having a good crowd and vibe has been great.
