Taylor Robert Dorsey
Taylor Robert Dorsey passed away on Nov. 5, in Denver. He was 21.
Taylor was born in Vail and raised in Silverthorne, and moved to Silt at the age of 12. He graduated from Rifle High School in 2006. He was attending Metropolitan State College in Denver majoring in Chemistry. He wanted to pursue a career in pharmacology research. He was passionate about many things in life, particularly writing and performing his music. He was an avid snowboarder and scuba diver.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jordan Michael Dorsey, paternal grandfathers, Robert Dorsey and Lowell Henry. He will be greatly missed by all those that had the pleasure to know him, including his dogs, Pearl and Charlotte.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Joelle Dorsey of Silt; aunts Lianne Fickel, Susan Dorsey and Peggy Smith; uncles Robert Smith and Gerry Dorsey; grandparents Robert and Doris Smith and Lenore Henry.
Memorial service will be held at Cactus Valley Elementry School, 222 Grand Ave., Silt, on Nov. 14, at 2 p.m.
Donations are being made for a memorial bench and friends may visit 306 S. Golden Drive, Silt or call (970) 876-0647.
