FRISCO — Our Future Summit is hosting a community round table discussion on “Winter Illness Prevention and Treatment” from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Summit County Community and Senior Center in Frisco.
Summit County Public Health director Deb Crook will lead a discussion about: H1N1 & seasonal influenza, norovirus and other communicable diseases; altitude sickness; seasonal affective disorder; hydration; wiinter sports orthopedic issues; and skin issues, including frostbite and sunburn.
Other caregivers to be present at the talk include Kathy Davis of Colorado West Mental Health, Dr. Ed Noordewier of the Emergency Services Department at Saint Anthony Summit Medical Center and Justin Pollack of Mountain-River Naturopathic Clinic. Dermatology, orthopedics and pediatrics specialists will also be there.
