Wednesday, Veterans Day, Frisco Elementary School invited veterans to be recognized and introduced to students and faculty. We were invited to mingle with students in their classrooms. I went to the third grade to answer questions and talk with the class. What a delightful experience! Students were inquisitive and fun to be with. I was deeply honored.
At the end of the period, students, faculty and veterans assembled in the gym to pledge allegiance to our flag and sing our national anthem. We received beautiful gifts signed by the students. I am moved by this occasion and proud to be an American.
