A federal grant will help the Summit Stage and Lake County start offering public transportation between Leadville and the Frisco Transit Center. The service is expected to start at the beginning of January.
The service won't add any expenses to Summit County's budget, since it's funded by the Federal Transit Administration, said assistant county manager Thad Noll.
The grant should help fund the program for three years.
“This takes us to the next level of getting our workers to the county,” Noll said.
