DERBY LINE, Vt. — The U.S. Border Patrol says an agent apprehended a Colorado man wanted on sexual assault charges after he had crossed into Vermont from Canada.
The Border Patrol says 50-year-old Glen L. Vigil was spotted Saturday in Derby Line after an agent saw fresh tracks coming from Quebec. The agent followed the tracks and found Vigil in the woods with his luggage.
The Border Patrol says a record check found the Adams County Sheriff's office in Brighton, Colo., has six warrants for Vigil on charges that include sexual assault on a child.
Vigil was turned over to the Vermont State Police while he awaits extradition to Colorado.
