Backcountry traveling with your dog seminar Monday

Reed Ryan of the Copper Mountain Ski Patrol will present a weather, avalanche and route selection seminar directed toward giving you the information to help you decide where and when to head out into the backcountry winter with your dog.

Mark Cowan, DVM of Buffalo Mountain Animal Hospital in Silverthorne will also give a presentation about how to keep your dog healthy and uninjured in the backcountry as well as how to put together a doggie first aid kit.

This seminar is FREE with a $5 suggested donation to the Mountain Education Fund which trains the avalanche dogs at Copper Mountain.

Jjoin us at the Alpine Earth Center (Alpine Gardens) at 998 Blue River Parkway in Silverthorne on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
