BRECKENRIDGE — Breckenridge Town Council this Tuesday is to discuss extending its open house sign ordinance, which was approved last year to sunset in March.
The town's planning department “believes the ordinance has been a success and has worked well,” and the Summit Association of Realtors has requested the town consider extending the ordinance or making it permanent, according to a town staff memo.
The ordinance allows for up to three off-premise open house signs outside the historic district, with time limits and design standards among other requirements.
Council is also to discuss plans for improving bike route way-finding and safety this spring through signs and striping. The town would spend up to $10,000 on the project this year, with annual re-striping costs of about $10,000 year for the following years.
Other items include the Upper Blue Basin Master Plan, and discussion as well as preliminary approval for ballot items for the public to consider in this April's election.
