LOVELAND SKI AREA — Nearly 100 couples plan to bet married or renew wedding vows today at Loveland Ski Area as part of the 19th annual Valentine's Day Marry Me Ski Free Mountaintop Matrimony, according to a press release.
The mass wedding ceremony is to occur at noon at an elevation of 12,050 feet outside Ptarmigan Roost Cabin.
“Valentine's Day again falls on a weekend, so we are expecting an extra-large turnout and some new snow this holiday weekend,” said Duncan Maxwell, the ski area's events and promotions coordinator in the press release.
Harry Heilman, registered minister with the Universal Life Church, is to conduct the ceremony at the top of Chair 2.
Pre-registered couples receive two-for-one lift tickets and free admission to the after-party at 1:30 at the base of Loveland Basin.
Guests and couples who did not pre-register can purchase lunch and after-party admission for $15.
