On June 30, the Summit Foundation awarded Habitat for Humanity and the new ReStore two grants.
The first was a joint grant from The Summit Foundation and a donor-directed fund. It's enough to support the ReStore during start up. Using that grant, the groups has been able to lease warehouse and office space in the Breckenridge Trade Center for the ReStore.
The second grant — a challenge grant — was donated by The Summit Foundation and the same donor-directed fund. Habitat and the ReStore must raise $5,000. When that's done, the Foundation and the donor will then match the contribution on a 2:1 basis with a check for $10,000.
To make a contribution to the “ReStore Challenge Grant, mail it to Habitat for Humanity, Box 4330, Breckenridge CO 80434 or drop it off at the ReStore during business hours — Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
