FRISCO — The Summit County Libraries are celebrating the end of the summer reading program with a grand finale — the Salida Circus. The performers will present “The Scarlet Sisters Lost Mermaid” — the fiercest, yet friendliest she-pirates around are on the hunt for buried treasure. First, they must locate the Magical Mermaid, since she is the only one who knows where the treasure is buried. And, the Scarlet Sisters need help to find the mermaid from Summit County kids.
This special event, featuring acrobatics, juggling, unicycling, pirate songs and audience participation, is sure to be fun for all ages. This program is made possible by Elaine Gerson and her family.
The Scarlet Sisters will perform at 11 a.m Tuesday at the South Branch Library in Breckenridge. The program will continue at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Main Library in Frisco, followed by a final show at the North Branch Library in Silverthorne at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
This event is free to the public, and is ideal for kids ages 3–11. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.
This show is the finale of the weekly summer reading program, held at all Summit County Libraries. As a reminder to parents, please have your children bring in their reading time logs for their last chance to earn free books and other prizes.
