The man who robbed Alpine Bank in Dillon last November pleaded guilty Monday in District Court in Breckenridge. According to a press release from the district attorney's office, Lincoln Carpenter pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery, a class 3 felony, following his arrest two days after the Nov. 22 robbery.

According to the DA's office, Carpenter, 23, handed a bank teller a note that read: “This is a robbery. Put $2K in an envelope and I will not discharge my weapon.” After the teller complied, Carpenter ran across the street, through the Walgreens parking lot and into Dillon Valley, where he resided. Shortly thereafter, he was turned in by his roommates.

Carpenter had recently moved to Summit County from Massachusetts, where he was on the run from a probation sentence he'd received from a previous robbery.

Sentencing has been set for Nov. 28.
