Summit School District is committed to the academic and character success of every student. Key to our success is parent involvement in all aspects of our students' education. We are committed to partnering with our community to ensure a positive and successful educational experience for all. We are focused on raising the achievement of our students through increased rigor, more advanced course offerings, a continued focus on the International Baccalaureate Program and ongoing professional development for our teachers.
We are proud of the many accomplishments of Summit School District, including the following:
1) Upper Blue and Summit Cove Elementary received the John Irwin Award for Excellence (given to the top 8 percent of schools in the state); 2) Frisco Elementary earned the Governor's Award for student growth; 3) Summit High School has a National Merit semi-finalist and a Boettcher Scholarship semi-finalist; 4) Summit High School students received more than $300,000 in scholarships; 5) Our seniors have applied to many top colleges including Dartmouth, Harvard and Yale; 6) Summit Middle School students have completed hundreds of hours of community service; 7) We continue to be one of only a few select districts in the United States that has the prestigious International Baccalaureate Program in all of our elementary schools, the middle school and at Summit High School.
