Mary Zink Caamano was born on December 20, 1959 in Carrington, ND. She was a winter baby born to a farming family and began her life being held in the arms of her father. She was vocal from the first, and what started as screaming evolved into the gift of conversation and the art of listening. Mary had a generous and loving heart from the beginning. She lived a life of service in Peru and then returned to build a life in the mountains of Colorado. She was a creative, successful businesswoman, but the absolute hope and joy of her life was her two sons, Danny and Peter. Their unconditional love for each other is a reflection of their mother's love for them.

Mary collected friends wherever she went. Her positivity and generosity was infectious, and she always looked for the best in others and offered the best of herself in return. Flaws didn't phase her because she was a woman who looked for people's strengths. She loved music, the mountains, and above all, relationships with family and friends. Faith, family, and friends sustained her through the hard passages, and she was never down for long. Even painful times were avenues to future joy. Our daughter, sister and friend celebrated each day with her loving spirit and cheerful anticipation that each day would end better than it began. She made the world a better place, and we were blessed to have her in our lives.

Mary's generosity follows her passing; many will receive the gift of life through the donation of her organs. She is survived by her parents, Illa and Virgil Zink; husband Walter; siblings Karen, Doug, (Brenda), Laurie, (Tom), Jane, (Kevin), nephews and nieces Jeremy, Jared, Whitney, Jay, Brad, Anja, Ben, Savanah, Will, and countless friends.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday, followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's Our Lady Of Peace in Breckenridge.

Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Our Lady of Peace in Dillon. The funeral mass will be followed by lunch at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge at 1 p.m.
