Silverthorne police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a robbery and assault on a clerk at the Sav-O-Mat gas station in Silverthorne early Saturday morning, town officials announced Thursday.
Nathan Matthew Garcia, 24, turned himself in to police Friday, according to a press release from the town. He faces charges including robbery and third-degree assault with a bond of $15,000.
Garcia allegedly walked into the Sav-O-Mat on Blue River Parkway at approximately 2:45 a.m. Sunday and demanded the clerk give him the cash in the register. He then assaulted the clerk until he opened the register and fled the scene on foot with the cash, a statement from Silverthorne police said.
Store surveillance videos allowed Silverthorne officers to identify Garcia.
