New for the latter part of the season is “Peak One Relaxed Start” ski and ride lessons, which will take place at the Frisco Adventure Park.
The Relaxed Start sessions offer a simple, convenient way to try skiing and riding. The two-hour sessions encourage learning the basics on the adventure park's gentle slope with the expertise of Copper Mountain's professional ski and ride instructors.
The Peak One Relaxed Start lessons are available now and will continue through March. At $79, they include an all-day lift pass. Advance reservations are required and available by calling the adventure park at (970) 668-2558. Skiers and riders must provide their own equipment, as rentals are not currently available at the adventure park.
The Peak One Relaxed Start lessons will initially be offered on Mondays and Fridays and will expand throughout February and March. The lessons provide visitors to the area close-in parking and an affordable trial alternative in an intimate class setting. Relaxed Start sessions are available at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1-3 p.m. and 4-6, subject to weather and instructor availability.
“Copper has always been Frisco's mountain and Frisco continues to be our town. This relationship naturally led us to forming a service partnership at the Frisco Adventure Park,” said JP Chevalier, director of Skier & Golf Services at Copper. “The Copper Ski & Ride School is thrilled to be launching a first time family and friend introduction to snowsports, in the heart of Summit County.”
