Party busted at Keystone employee housing Four people were cited for disorderly conduct after several noise warnings at an employee-housing unit were ignored.
Deputies had received several noise complaints regarding the section of Keystone employee housing over the last couple months, according to a report from the sheriff's office.
On Jan. 31, authorities were called out again and warned the residents of one of the units, where loud music was playing and several people were seen going in and out, twice to be quiet. Ultimately, four individuals in the noisy unit were cited for disorderly conduct. One became verbally confrontational and was placed under arrest. He was latter released after apologizing.
Roommate dispute turns physical
A Summit County woman was cited for harassment Jan. 31 after a fight with one of her roommates turned physical.
A fight over household chores reportedly escalated, culminating in the woman slamming the door closed and hitting her roommate's knee, according to a sheriff's office report.
Shoplifter caught at Copper Mountain
A man caught trying to steal a pair of goggles from a sporting goods store at Copper Mountain in early January was charged with theft, possession of not more than 2 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The man reportedly walked into the sporting goods store after a day on the mountain, picked up the goggles and put them in his jacket pocket. A Copper Mountain security guard saw the man behaving suspiciously near the goggles before he activated a sensor trying to leave the store, according to a sheriff's office report.
Deputies who responded to the call later found a small amount of marijuana and a pipe in the man's possession as well, according to the report.
The goggles were valued at $140.
Silverthorne Police Department
Sav-O-Mat robbed A local man was arrested after repeatedly hitting a clerk at a Silverthorne convenience store several times in the head and stealing a minimal amount of money from the store cash register.
The man turned himself in a few days later.
He is facing charges of robbery and third-degree assault.
