Arapahoe Basin offers two-season bulk pass

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area is selling a season pass that's good for not just one season but two.

The so-called Double Down Pass is available for $499 until Dec. 31 and is valid at the ski area through the 2013-2014 ski season. Single-season adult passes are still available for $299.

A-Basin enthusiasts can save $99 for two seasons of skiing available at the bulk price.

A-Basin is perhaps best known for its long ski seasons, which chief operating officer Alan Henceroth says average 233 days.

The Double Down also affords its passholders the same great on-mountain benefits as the regular single-season A-Basin pass. These include 10 percent off food and beverage purchases as well as purchases made in the Arapahoe Sports retail shop.

A-Basin passholders also receive one $45 half-day class lesson with the A-Basin Snowsports School, $10 off performance tuning, one unguided day at Silverton Mountain, and discounted pricing on lift tickets for friends and family.

Passholders who have already purchased a single-season A-Basin pass can upgrade to the Double Down for $200.
