An excursion to East Africa through Colorado Mountain College offers the opportunity to trek on Mount Kilimanjaro, view wildlife in Lake Manyara and Serengeti National Parks, and learn about the local Maasai culture.
Through its international programs, for the first time Colorado Mountain College is offering the five-credit course, East Africa Abroad. The class involves travel to East Africa Dec. 31, 2012 - Jan. 14, 2013.
The pre-trip meeting is Wednesday, at the college's campus in Leadville. A current passport and four passport photos are required at this initial meeting.
Students can earn college credits in world regional geography, trekking and basic mountaineering.
