Welcome home ... to the Summit County Parade of Homes!
Yes it's that time of year again - grab your bier stein and get out to look for brews, at the fall colors and most importantly, the wonderful homes that are showcased in this year's parade.
The Summit County Builder Association and its Parade of Homes tour Board and Committee have once again put together a wonderful opportunity to see the latest and greatest in the home building world. The official guide is hot off the presses and a copy can most likely be acquired from your local Realtor or home builder. If you can't find one, get in touch and we will make it happen.
This is an incredible opportunity to tour world class homes and meet the architects and builders. So get out and gather all the wonderful ideas to embellish your cabin, castle, land or fiefdom.
These architects and builders are mountain-construction pros and know the ins and outs of the construction process in the High Country. They can help you build a budget that will allow you an ending with a smile and guide you through the preliminary costs one needs to understand before a shovel ever hits the dirt.
Interior needs? What are the latest colors, finishes, textures? What about the walls? Do I want glazing? Plaster? Natural clay products? How about the cabinets, the fixtures, both lighting and plumbing. Floor coverings, garage coating and driveways, oh my! They have top interior designers making it all happen and are ready to set an appointment to consult with you on your next project.
Do you have a landscaping dream to fulfill? Plan now and make arrangements with a landscape architect and the local nurseries to have your project moving full steam in the spring. Maybe some of your planting and yard work could still be started or completed this year.
Got a lot on your mind? I am sure your Realtor can find that lot for you! But before you buy, get on over to the Parade of Home and get the facts from the pros on the process.
By the way, while you are enjoying this wonderful Parade of Homes know that the admission proceeds benefit the Summit Foundation and its many wonderful programs, grants and scholarships throughout our community. It a win-win all around!
So what are you waiting for, get our your highlighter and mark the calendar (or set an alarm in your smartphone) for the weekends of Sept. 22-23 and Sept. 29-30 and make a day or a weekend of it. You will learn so much, have a great time and you'll be glad you did!
Travel safe, be careful and keep a watchful eye for families and children as you drive around the tour.
All the best!
