Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world's only daily column that is trying to determine what exactly we'd do with a "priceless," gem-encrusted vacuum.
According to an email we received last week, the same company that offered a $1 million gold-plated suck machine earlier this summer has taken the custom-cleaning market to a whole new level. The release from GoVacuum.com seez here:
"The Sebo GV62712 Felix Crystallize Onyx Vacuum Cleaner is the world's only vac to boast a custom silver-plated handle, an ET-1 powernozzle which is sprinkled with diamond dust, and an outer filter bag which is covered in 1,000 Swarovski Elements.
"While literally doused in diamonds, the vacuum retains the quality features of all SEBO units, including a 32-foot power cord, fine German engineering and S-class filtration for allergy and asthma sufferers."
Well to be honest, we were a little concerned about the functionality of all that bling, but since it has a 32-foot power cord and S-class filtration we feel a little better about mortgaging our children's future on this household appliance.
On a more solemn note, our hearts go out to the family of Angus, who wrote thusly about their fallen pet:
"Angus, 6/12/03-9/11/12 Beloved pet Angus was known in Silverthorne as the Scottish terrier who survived 11 nights in November 2007 after being lost on Angler's Ranch Trail. We want to again thank all of you who helped us search for him and his ultimate rescue by Ron R. some miles away. You gave us 2.5 more precious years with him. Fond farewell little Buddy."
With that, we out.
