Because of low water levels at Wolford Mountain Reservoir, the boat ramp will be closing at 7 p.m. on Oct. 14, officials of the Colorado River District said. The closure will last through the winter.
The reservoir campground will remain open and all use fees remain in effect. People with canoes, rowboats or other hand-launched vessels can still access the reservoir at the campground as well as at the dam. Anglers are still welcome to fish from the reservoir banks at the campground and at the dam. Officials also remind the public driving along the reservoir shoreline is not permitted at any time. Motor vehicular use is restricted to the established roads.
