For procrastinators putting off purchasing a season pass, prices for several local ski areas are slated to increase mid-October.
Copper Mountain guarantees season pass prices through Oct. 15, while Vail Resorts' Epic Local Pass and other offerings are scheduled to increase Oct. 14. The time for locking in the lowest prices of the season is fleeting.
Vail Resorts' Epic Pass, which includes Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood, is currently offered at $679 for adults, while kids can snag the pass for $349. Vail's Epic Local Pass is $529 for adults and $269 for kids until Oct. 14.
The Copper Pass is guaranteed at $389 through Oct. 15 and the Rocky Mountain Super Pass, with access to Copper and Winter Park, is guaranteed at $439.
Loveland Ski Area's season pass is currently $379 for new, adult pass holders. The ski area has yet to announce a date of price increases.
Copper Mountain has also launched a new season pass product, the Woodward at Copper season pass for $199, that price is guaranteed through opening day, Nov. 2. The price of the Woodward season pass may go up after opening day or may be discontinued depending on units sold.
The Woodward Pass is a season pass for access to the Woodward at Copper Barn. Woodward at Copper offers indoor facilities to maximize training for skiers and snowboarders. The facility offers several drop-in sessions along with their winter day, introduction, skate and BMX, and private sessions.
This pass has been a long time in development according to Katherine Bush, spokeswoman for Copper.
