Fox: Use facts to support your argument

Re: "The killing of Big Bird," by Howard Hallman, letters, Oct 9

No, Mr. Hallman, MItt Romney did not say he wanted to kill "Big Bird." The exact quote was "I'm sorry, Jim. I'm going to stop the subsidy to PBS. I'm going to stop other things. I like PBS. I love Big Bird. I actually like you too. But I'm not going to keep on spending money on things to borrow money from China to pay for it."

PBS has some great programming, albeit also much other programming is from a radical left-wing perspective, but great programming does not mean the American people should borrow money to support it. The PBS network and especially Sesame Street has been a huge financial success and does not need public support.

If you are going to attack a candidate at least use facts to support your argument.
