ODIM (Organization for the Development of the Indigenous Maya) is dedicated to improving the well-being and future of the Maya people in the highlands of Guatemala through healthcare and education. ODIM functions in two villages and operates a clinic. Through its other programs, they provide a nutrition project for families with severely malnourished children, scholarships for children, cultural exchange for children and health education for hundreds in the community
JoAn Dwyer is an "Individual Volunteer in Mission" with the United Methodist Church and has lived in Guatemala permanently since 2001. Dwyer will present her project today at 5 p.m. at Father Dyer UMC prior to the Community Dinner. All are welcome.
