The Congress returns to the Snake River Saloon in Keystone

The Denver rock 'n' roll band, The Congress, returns tonight and Saturday to the Snake River Saloon, 23074 Hwy. 6 in Keystone.

Featuring Jonathan Meadows (bass, vox), Scott Lane (guitar) and Mark Levy (drums), the group plays "most stuff put out from 1968 to 1973 among plenty of other great music stretched across the ages," Lane said.

Newly back from touring "pretty much since July," group members are "happy to be taking it easy in Colorado and playing around the state," Lane said. They've been at it two to three years, including past appearances at the Snake.

Showgoers can expect "nuns, limbo, clowns, a dog show, conga lines and scavenger hunts," Lane said, encouraging guests to "support original music, and party."
