Silverthorne: 7th annual Shopping Extravaganza at the Outlets on Saturday

Going into the seventh year, this charitable event draws more than 1,000 people for a fun-filled day of shopping that helps to support 13 area nonprofits in Summit, Eagle, Lake and Jefferson counties.

Charities include: Arc Thrift Stores, Advocates of Lake County, Battle Mountain High School Super Boosters, Dillon Valley Elementary, Domus Pacis, Friends of the Library, National Repertory Orchestra, Silverthorne Elementary PTA, Summit County Preschool, Summit Honduras and Swan Center Outreach.

Event attendees receive exclusive one-day deals at the stores and a free prize ticket for a chance to win one of more than 1,000 different prizes worth more than $22,000. The majority of the prizes are $25 gift cards from the stores. The grand prizes this year include a Coach handbag and a Loveland Ski Area Season Pass.

Also included in the event ticket is a breakfast with mimosas, a catered lunch, a dessert bar, appetizers, wine, cordial and beer tastings in the hospitality suites. Attendees also receive a free goodie bag with coupons to local businesses and Denver attractions. Also in the bag is a stainless steel travel mug and a free 50 ml bottle to fill at Olive Fusion with your choice of balsamic or olive oil. Entertainment will be provided by John Truscelli and Mike Huberman, the Co.Motion Dancers from the Summit School of Dance and a free photo booth. There will also be the added convenience this year of a shuttle service that goes between the three villages so all you need to do is park, shop and have fun.

Purchase tickets directly from the charities, online at OutletsatSilverthorne.com or from the Silverthorne Colorado Welcome Center located at the Outlets. Questions, contact Meredith Long at (970) 468-5780 or Meredith@OutletsatSilverthorne.com.
