Support Friends of the Dillon Ranger District (FDRD) on Colorado Gives Day! On Tuesday, Coloradans will come together again to raise millions of dollars for nonprofits throughout the state. FDRD has set a goal to raise $5,000 in individual contributions in support of our 2013 volunteer project season. Presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, Colorado Gives Day is a special opportunity to donate to your favorite charities through the website GivingFirst.org. Credit card processing fees are waived for the day, and 100 percent of all donations pledged as part of Colorado Gives Day will go directly to FDRD. Each donation will secure FDRD a percentage of the FirstBank Incentive Fund.Individuals can schedule a donation between now and Dec. 4th by going to GivingFirst.org and entering in "Friends of the Dillon Ranger District" into the search box. Detailed information on FDRD and its programs are available on the GivingFirst profile.FDRD's volunteers provided over 8,000 hours of service in support of Summit County's National Forest lands in 2012, and a contribution to FDRD will go directly toward the organization's 2013 outdoor stewardship efforts including trail improvements, ecological restoration, and community outreach. If you have any questions about Colorado Gives Day or Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, call Jessica Evett at (970) 262-3449 or at jevett@fdrd.org.
