Vail buys two Midwest ski areas in Minnesota and Michigan

Vail Resorts is spending $20 million on 430 acres of urban skiing at two ski areas near Minneapolis and Detroit.

Afton Alps in Minnesota and Mount Brighton in Michigan are close to cities that are home to more than 468,000 active skiers.
