I-70 westbound at Eisenhower Tunnel open after multiple accidents

The westbound Eisenhower Tunnel is back open after icy conditions led to multiple accidents on Interstate 70 lanes outside the tunnel. The stretch had been closed earlier Sunday, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Eastbound traffic is also slow on the road between Vail and the summit of Vail Pass due to an accident involving an 18 wheeler near the summit, said CDOT spokeswoman Mindy Crane.
