Last chances to spot St. Nick before Christmas

Santa is busy during the holiday season, but he's making time to meet with little boys and girls in Summit County before Christmas arrives.

This weekend, children can have their last-minute wishes heard at a number of spots in the county. Here's where to find him:

Today through Monday, kids can meet Santa at Keystone Resort's River Run base area - today at New Moon Cafe from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Saturday at Luigi's Pasta House from 4-6 p.m.; Sunday at Pizza on the Run from 4-6 p.m. and Monday at Kidz Cabin from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Parking is free in the River Run lot.

Tonight, Santa will join Christmas carolers at Dillon Town Park on Buffalo Street for the Festival of Lights bonfire. From 5:30-7 p.m., families can celebrate the holidays with a round of hot cocoa and marshmallows while chatting it up with St. Nick. The event is free.

Santa also invites "kids" of all generations to join him and his elf for a few runs at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A-Basin celebrates with complementary cake and wassail at 11:30 a.m.

In Frisco, parents can take their kids and their cameras to create memories with Santa at the Historic Schoolhouse Museum, 120 Main St., from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

On Sunday, there will be a pancake breakfast with Santa at Warren Station Center for the Arts in River Run Village at Keystone. From 10 a.m. to noon, kids can share a meal and their Christmas wishes with Santa. Donations to the Snake River Community Association are welcome.

Before heading back to the North Pole, Santa wraps up his schedule with an appearance at Copper Mountain Resort on Monday. During the Christmas Eve En Fuego event, he will slide down the hill at 6:15 p.m. with the torchlight parade and light the holiday tree, finishing with a run on the Alpine Rush Zip Line at 6:55 p.m.
