Saturday was a snow-filled day adding to the ambiance of Domus Pacis Family Respite's Home for the Holidays House Tour. Everyone involved truly embraced this event in the spirit of the season! The tour was a fabulous success because of the goodwill and generosity once again displayed by our Summit County community. We acknowledge the event sponsors, Allen-Guerra Design Build, Alpine Accents, Apex Mountain Homes, CopyCopy, Cutting Edge Woodworking, Inside Source, Interiors by Design, Sweet Homes of Colorado, and Versatile Strokes. The breakfast treats baked by Genia, Linda, Marcia, Marilyn, Monique, Mark, Sarah and Susie were a welcoming send off for a morning touring festively decorated homes. The snowy luncheon break allowed tour participants to warm up by sampling hearty soups, salad and crusty breads created by Doug Schwartz plus the delicious holiday desserts provided by Blue Moon, Butterhorn, Clint's, Cool River, La Francaise, Donna, Genia and Vera.We thank the local artists and friends offering auction items - John Fielder, Amy Evans, Brooke Lee, Karen Schilling, Holly Bukey, Lazar Gintchin, A-Basin, and those who held the winning bids. To the many volunteers who contributed to the creation of the beautiful guide booklet and exacting directions, published the event, emailed friends and allowed the day to unfold seamlessly - your commitment was essential - our thanks. To our holiday home owners, Debbie & Bill, Duck & Vince, Gene & Dick, Sharon & Jim, Gary & Genia, Norm & Margie, Marty & Jim, we thank you for graciously opening your homes ? the hospitality you showed made the day one that everyone enjoyed enormously plus demonstrates your support of Domus Pacis Family Respite. Most importantly, Genia Gallagher's creativity and leadership of Home of the Holidays deserves and is given my heartfelt appreciation for this day and a multitude of others.Duck White-Petteruti, Breckenridge
