Real Estate At A Glance: Total Summit County sales

Assuming our representatives fail to screw up the recovery in the last two weeks of the year (risky assumption), average sale prices will end the year increasing for the first time in three years by 3 percent. Resale prices are up by nearly 5 percent. About 15 percent more properties sold through November. The number sold has been much closer to the 12-year average than at any time in the past three years.

The inventory is down to about 1,500 properties, also a three-year low.

8 out of 11 ... number of months this year with increases in average price

1,349 ... number of properties sold through November - 47 more than last year's total sales
