Single-day, walk-up Vail lift ticket reaches $129

VAIL - One-day lift tickets to ski at Vail or Beaver Creek are now $129 for people who walk up to the window to buy them at the resorts.

Meanwhile, the Aspen Daily News reports, Aspen Mountain has raised its walk-up, single-day lift ticket price to $117.

People who buy in advance, online or for more than one day - or who can wait until after peak season to ski - can pay lower prices.

Vail and Aspen's last-minute lift ticket prices crossed the $100 mark during the 2010-2011 season.

Vail and Beaver Creek lift tickets also let buyers ski or ride at Arapahoe Basin plus Vail Resorts Inc.'s other Colorado resorts, which are Breckenridge and Keystone.
