Breckenridge: Conservation center hosts film fest at Speakeasy Theater

The High Country Conservation Center will host the Wild and Scenic Film Festival on Jan. 17 at the Speakeasy Theater.

"Considered one of the nation's premier environmental and adventure film festivals, this year's films combine stellar film making, beautiful cinematography and first-rate storytelling to inform and inspire solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and human communities," festival organizers said in a written statement. "The films instill a deep appreciation and a sense of wonder for the natural world that surrounds and supports us."

Tickets are $12 in advance, or $15 at the door. Purchased tickets at highcountryconservation.org or in-person at the Breckenridge Patagonia, Mountain Sports Outlet or HC3 office. The event highlights multiple short films, featuring two anchor films focusing on water and sustainable food challenges, "Chasing Water," and "Save the Farm."
