Summit Thrift & Treasure in Breckenridge and Dillon is in need of volunteers and clothing, shoes, bedding, kitchen items, books, games and toy donations for our thrift stores. Sales from Summit Thrift & Treasure benefit the Family & Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC). We have locations at 1745 Airport Road in Breck and 340 Fiedler Ave. in Dillon. Donations are accepted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday at both locations. Volunteers are needed to sort donations and organize the store. Continental Divide Land Trust will be hosting an Arapahoe Basin Appreciation Ski Day for its supporters on Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at A-Basin Beach Spot #1.Friday's ski day is a way for CDLT to thank A-Basin employees who support the land trust through their employee-giving program and to spread the word about CDLT's work.All are invited to join the ski day. CDLT will supply snacks, refreshments and information about CDLT. There will also be multiple prize drawings for A-Basin employees and CDLT supporters who stop by to visit. The Summit County Community and Senior Center will offer a computer seminar on "Working with Windows 7" on Saturday, from 9-11 a.m. Cost is $5 to attend. You may bring your Windows 7-based computer to the seminar to follow along, but be aware that we won't be able to stop to help you on your individual computer.
