Tucker McCrerey: Skate Champ

Special to the Daily Frisco native Tucker McCrerey skies for the University of Utah in the U.S. National Cross-Country Ski Championships at Soldier Hollow, Utah earlier this month. McCrerey recently earned a position on the U.S. Ski Team's competition trip to the FIS Nordic Jr. World Ski Championships, becoming one of six to accumulate enough points to join the team. In Soldier Hollow, McCrerey finished second in both classic sprints, the freestyle 15k and third in the 10k classic. This week, McCrerey is in the Czech Republic. On Monday, McCrerey raced the classic sprint, today he does the 10x10k skiathlon, and on Sunday, he races the 4x5k team relay. The rest of his season will take him to New Mexico, Utah, Montana, Vermont and California.
