Re: "The wrong way to affect gun reform," by Morgan Liddick, column, Jan. 29
Morgan Liddick claims that he agrees with some of President Obama's proposals to end gun violence (such as outlawing "hundred round magazines"), but is opposed to enacting them into law because he doesn't trust the President. This is an awful lot like me as a non-Christian agreeing with some Biblical proposals (such as "Thou shalt not kill"), but opposing enacting them into law because I don't trust the Bible. It is exactly this kind of nonsensical posturing by conservatives that has led to the absolute stalemate and gridlock in our government over the last decade. Thanks to Mr. Liddick for providing us with the perfect example to point to.
