Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world's only daily column that is made almost entirely of compost and recyled newspapers.
We've been in a sustainably good mood since the High Country Conservation Center recently honored the those that have taken part in its Frisco Clean Tracks program, a partnership with the town of Frisco designed to provide incentives and assistance for area entrepreneurs looking to make their businesses more environmentally friendly and energy efficient. Participating business owners were treated to a buffer at Tuscato's on Main Street, one of the establishments to have participated in the program, which is in its third year.
Businesses to have taken part in the program include: Alpine Market and Deli, Backcountry Brewery, Gatherhouse, Maximum Comfort Pool and Spa, Medical Marijuana of the Rockies, Podium Sports, Rivers Clothing Company, Rocky Mountain Coffee Roasters, Shoe Inn Boutique, Winter Properties, Buyers Resource, Woods Inn, Alpine Bank, Backcountry Herbal Apothecary, The Barnyard, Envy Salon, Holiday Inn, Stork and Bear Co, McCrery Fine Homes, The Moosejaw, Mountain Log Homes and Peppino's Pizza and Subs, among others.
Hats off to those businesses owners looking to do their part in building a sustainable future for our community. We out.
