Magic is coming to the mountains

Jason Bishop, who has been called "America's Hottest Illusionist," will be performing his signature brand of illusion at Warren Station in Keystone on Wednesday. The show begins at 7 p.m. and is suitable for all ages.

Combining exclusive large illusions with original sleight of hand tricks and "close-up" magic, Bishop can pull a live goldfish out of an iPhone, pass his assistant through his body and turn an audience member's $1 bill into a $100 bill - yes, the lucky person even gets to keep it. He can also bounce cards off the stage 20 feet into the air, a skill that he said took him 12 years to master. Bishop delivers his mind-blowing tricks with a light touch by using lots of audience participation, frequent humor and a contemporary music soundtrack.

Bishop's one-of-a-kind show has earned him the distinction of being the youngest person to win the Magician's Alliance of Eastern States Stage Award and one of the youngest people to contend in the Society of American Magicians World-Class competition.

Raised as a foster child, Bishop is doing the show to benefit CASA of the Continental Divide, a local nonprofit that advocates for abused and neglected children in order to find them safe, permanent homes as fast as possible. All revenue from the show will support the organization.
