I was interested to read the article in earlier this week, "State coroner system similar to Old West", but was disappointed to see that no mention was made of the fact that things are different in our own county.
Summit County is lucky enough to have a wonderful, dedicated MO as its coroner. Appointing Tim Keeling to the post of county coroner in 2012, the commissioners recognized a man with sound medical qualifications and compassion who could do a great job in this position. Furthermore, both he and the sheriff's department reportedly work very well together in some difficult situations. No "Old West' stuff in Summit County, but real professionalism!
