Lake Dillon Theatre Company's Cast of Characters is staging its fourth annual Wine Tasting and Membership Event at a beautiful Keystone home from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 . Interested persons (with good character!) are invited to participate for only $15.00 "admission" and a bottle of their favorite wine under $20. Admission donations will "role" over into a 2013 CO'C membership "if it all tastes right"! Appetizers will be served. Continental Divide Land Trust will lead a snowshoe tour to Iron Springs Open Space near Summit High School at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday,, March 23. CDLT holds a conservation easement on the property, which is owned by Summit County Open Space. The tour will be led by CDLT's executive director Leigh Girvin, who will focus on potential impacts to the property from the proposed realignment of Highway 9.
The tour is free for CDLT supporters, or a suggested donation of $5 per adult. Kids free. Dogs on leash welcome. Please bring your own equipment, water, and dress for the weather. Meet in the student parking lot on the south side of Summit High School at 10:30 a.m. The tour will last about 1 hour. In the event of inclement weather, the group will gather on the leeward side of the school and look at maps to learn more about the project.
